BlueWater Resort Amenitites

The BlueWater Resort is located at the south end of Myrtle Beach and South Carolina's Grand Strand. We're just minutes from all the many area attractions.

At Alligator Adventure you’ll find yourself face to face with nature’s fiercest and most beautiful animals. Located adjacent to Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach, one of South Carolina’s most outstanding tourist attractions, Alligator Adventure is one of the largest facilities for reptile life in the world. During your visit to the park you will be guided through beautiful natural swamps and marshes, where you’ll encounter an amazing array of reptiles, lizards, turtles, giant frogs, and exotic birds from around the world! Alligator Adventure is the proud home to over 800 alligators that range in size from eight-inch infants to 13-foot adults that weigh five to six hundred pounds each. In the main alligator exhibit pool, more than 300 large adults wait patiently while skilled lecturers explain the fascinating life history of these ancient creatures. The talks are climaxed with staff members feeding the large reptiles by hand.

Brookgreen is the country's oldest and largest sculpture garden where some 550 works of American figurative sculpture are displayed throughout the Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntington Sculpture Garden, one of the most beautiful public gardens in the Southeast. In addition, there's a Lowcountry Trail with native wildlife exhibits as well as historical and cultural exhibits that reveal the distinctive life and land of Lowcountry Carolina. Tours and excursions are offered daily, as well as seasonal programs.

Since opening to the public seven decades ago, Brookgreen Gardens has introduced visitors from around the world to an enchanting and compelling showcase of art and nature. The gardens are set on a 300-acre parcel in the heart of a 9,100-acre preserve on the South Carolina coast that stretches from the Atlantic Ocean to historic rice fields bordering the Waccamaw River.

The centerpiece of the Brookgreen property is a beautifully landscaped garden of centuries-old live oaks and more than 2,000 species and subspecies of plants native and adapted to the Southeastern United States. Throughout the gardens, the largest outdoor display of American figurative sculpture in the world -- more than 550 works by over 300 artists -- can be enjoyed in every season.
